Acne Rosacea         Images    

Characteristic lesions include symmetrically distrubuted papules & pustules on the nose & cheeks.
Telangictasias & flushing are commonly associated findings but they donot respond to medical therapy.

RX:

• Sunscreen

• Tetracycline 250-500 mg bid for at least 4-8 weeks

• Metrogel or cream twice daily or Sulfur & Sodium Sulfacetamide (sulfacet, Novacet)
